Rooted in the traditions of San Felipe and Zuni Pueblos, Lupe Iule embarked on her journey as a jeweler under the guidance of her husband, Horace Iule, who served as her mentor. During her productive years, from 1937 to 1975, her artistic focus gravitated towards the powerful symbolism and elegant form of the cross, which became a hallmark of her work.
