Marcella Kahe was the mother of Karen Charlie and Samuel Kahe; mother-in-law of Gloria Kahe; wife of Val Jean Kahe; daughter of Emma and Hale Adams; sister of Ramona Ami, Laverne Chaca, Burke Adams.

Marcalla Kahe was a respected elder woman of the Butterfly Clan. Marcella lived atop First Mesa in the village of Sichomovi, the guards of Walpi Village. Marcella made traditional pottery. She was one of the few potters who made double spouted water vases. These were made in ancient times to water young plants. Marcella Kahe design is appropriate for the type of vessel . Marcella taught Karen Charlie, Emmaline Naha and Ramona Ami. According to Karen her mother was a good teacher. " She made us do it right, in the traditional way."
