Peter Grab began visiting Santa Fe, New Mexico as a young man. After finishing his studies in painting and drawing at Art Center in Pasadena, California, he moved to Santa Fe and made it his home in 1981. His fascination with New Mexico landscape is expressed in paintings that have a raw honest quality.
"What I like to do" he says," is to paint on location, you get an emotional experience you can't get in the studio. You let the landscape dictate what you put down and have no preconceived notions."
Peter Grab has been featured in Southwest Profile and Art of the West magazines. He has participated in numerous shows throughout the southwest, including the Festival of the Arts New Discovery Show and the nationally acclaimed Dallas meets Santa Fe with the artists of Santa Fe group.
