Keith Torres, Hopi, Coyote & Fire Clans has been an active carver since around 1985. He was born in December, 1963 and currently resides at First Mesa on the Hopi Reservation. Some of his awards include 1st Place 1996 Santa Fe Indian Market, Award of Excellence 2002 Santa Fe Indian Market, Best of Show, Best of Division, Best of Class and 1st Place 2006 Santa Fe Indian Market, Award of Excellence in Katsina Doll Carving 2006 Southwest Indian Art Fair Arizona State Museum, and 1st Place at 2006 O'odham Tash Casa Grande Arizona.
"When Keith Torres won the 2005 Best of Show award at the Southwest Indian Art Fair in Tucson, AZ, the judges stated in part: 'What made it nice was the way it was carved. The wood base was carved into the overall design. It was unique and different." (Elmer)
