Maurice Eby was a professional photographer from Las Vegas, New Mexico. He was hired to take photos of Maria and Popovi to promote their studio at San Ildefonso Pueblo. Eby is also known for his postcards of Maria and Popovi. Eby’s wife Ida May is featured in an article in the Summer Issue 2014 of El Palacio, the official publication of the Museum of New Mexico. Her jewelry collection is part of an upcoming exhibit called Turquoise, Water, Sky: The Stone and Its Meaning.
