Book author Frank McNitt wrote several books on Native American culture and the traders who interfaced between them and the tourist trade. Among the books are Richard Wetherill: Anasazi; The Indian Traders; and Editor of Navajo Expedition--Journal of a Military Reconnaissance from Santa Fe, New Mexico, to the Navaho Country, Made in 1849. He lived in Farmington, New Mexico, and at Burnham’s Trading Post, where he compiled much of the information for his book The Indian Traders.
