Gary Allen Hood is a fine arts curator and writer who has overseen more than 300 museum exhibitions in 25 years.  He has worked at museums in Minnesota, Kansas, Texas and New Mexico, and has also served as an arts consultant.  His affinity towards writing about American Indian art comes from his heritage as a Choctaw as well as from his research papers, articles, lectures and exhibitions.  His work has been published in Native Peoples, Southwest Art, and Collector’s Guide magazines.  Twentieth-century American art is another of Mr. Hood’s interests, for which he has produced a number of exhibitions.  Mr. Hood holds several university degrees in art from Wichita State in Kansas.
