What a most unusual bracelet! It was manufactured by the Bell Company of Albuquerque who was in business during the first ¾ of the 20th century. It appears that the bracelet is cut from sheet steel and the three stones are secured in bezels that were riveted onto the bracelet. The two turquoise stones appear to be all natural and untreated turquoise. The center magnificent setting appears to be Mother of Pearl.

I have never seen another bracelet of this style. It is truly a collector’s piece for someone interested in the progression of Native jewelry over the period of the 20th century.

Provenance: Retrieved from pawn in January 2010.
