This nacimiento set was purchased in 1985 directly from Marie Romero of Jemez Pueblo, although it is signed Clarita Romero. We have not yet determined who Clarita is but she must be a relative of Marie Romero.
The set includes the Holy Family; Three Kings bearing gifts of blue corn, oven bread, and pottery; two drummers and one drum; an angel and five animals. All the figurines are painted in beautiful bright colors that appear to be commercial art paints.
Condition: appears in original condition
Provenance: from the collection of a family from Kansas
