Pins of animals and birds and other creatures were popular with travelers following World War II when many people found new freedom to travel and came to the Southwest.  Navajo jewelers and Zuni lapidary artists were accommodating in supplying such items for the travelers to take home.

This sterling silver pin of a frog has three beautiful blue turquoise cabs without any copper matrix.  It probably dates to the third quarter of the 20th century.

Condition: excellent

Provenance: from the collection of a gentleman from Georgia
