This is a very traditional Fred Harvey style bracelet of the type made by Navajo craftsmen in the Harvey Co. employ. It is a flat silver band with stamping at its ends. There are arrows, Sun symbols, and floral-like elements. A row of beautiful blue round and domed turquoise stones rest atop the bracelet, each stone surrounded by stamping designs.
Jewelry such as this was sold by the Fred Harvey Company at its many outlets at Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad shops, as well as by other retail outlets such as the Maisel Company and Sun Bell Corporation on Route 66 in downtown Albuquerque. Additionally, a distributor in New York, by the name of Arrow Novelty Co., distributed such back east. This early 20th century jewelry was popular from coast to coast.
Condition: some of the outer turquoise stones exhibit small cracks which appear to be very old!
