Historic Original Goldtone Photograph of Pike’s Peak [R]

This goldtone (orotone) photograph of Pike’s Peak in Colorado dates to circa 1900. To achieve an orotone print, an emulsion is placed on glass and the print is then developed onto the glass. Various tones can be achieved depending on the emulsion used. Gold leaf emulsion is used for goldtone prints. This is a goldtone print and is in original excellent condition.
