This simple but elegant jar is a testimony to the talent of the potter. It was constructed in the traditional manner, using native clay, and the coiling technique. The vessel walls are thin and well formed. Firing was traditional, using coal as the fuel.

The design field is divided into two quadrants, with designs being the same on opposing sides. The panels contain stylized Hopi avian figures and the two panels are divided by eagle tail feather designs.

The condition of the vessel is fine. Some of the brown paint is abraded and there is a very small chip on the inside of the rim, but not sufficient to mar the beauty of the vessel.
