This is a beautifully decorated black-on-black small jar that incorporates a design around the neck resembling a Greek key chain, under which is a chain of matte black clouds, a refreshing change from the often used feather and Avanyu designs.

Juanita and Tony apparently were active in the early 1920s through perhaps the 1940s.

This jar is in excellent condition, however, as happens with early blackware, the painted design is rather faint, but is fully visible.
