Eileen Lesarlley was a student of Dorothy Dunn's at the Santa Fe Indian School from 1933-1937. Her paintings were of the women of Zuni, done in a static, decorative style with intricate detail. Note in this painting the pattern of the belt, the embroidered hem of the apron and the clustered setting of turquoise in the ring.
