Special Value Offer: The owner of this lamp asked us to drop the price by about 1/3rd from the original price of $1850 to a new price of $1250.

Many potters from pueblos located near tourist routes made items that they felt would appeal to tourists. Table lamps were often made for sale to tourists. This Acoma Pueblo jar was actually made to be used for a lamp as determined by the hole at the bottom edge for the electric wire. It is possible that the maker's name is on the bottom of the jar but it is not feasible to determine that because the jar is mounted on a wood pedestal.

Condition: The lamp is in excellent condition and features a hide-type shade (this, too, is in excellent condition).

Provenance: ex. coll. California collector of Native American art.
