Commercially Molded Square Pottery Tile with Pablita Velarde Design Image [SOLD]

We would not normally feature a commercially molded pottery tile on our site but this one is being presented because it features an image made by Pablita Velarde who authorized its use for a commercial tile.  At least a half dozen images by Pablita have been used for similar tiles.

This one is of interest to us because I believe it is the only one, of the half-dozen images that Pablita authorized, that has a typographical error in her name.  Below the Yei figure, is Pablita Valerde, the last name being misspelled.  It would be interesting to know how many were made and distributed before it was discovered and perhaps corrected.

I have not yet determined what company made the tiles with images authorized by Pablita.  I believe it was a commercial company in Albuquerque.

Condition: very good condition
