This Navajo Nation sterling silver band was exquisitely stamped with elaborate symbols, but the highlight of the bracelet is the row of seven blood red coral cabochons, each of which is slightly domed. The oval coral cabs are secure in bezels and highlighted by arched stamps design above and below the coral.
The bracelet is stamped with E. Yazzie, in a cursive style. There are several silversmiths listed in the reference books for E. Yazzie, and none of them show a stamped hallmark in cursive style, so we do not know which E. Yazzie to credit for this exquisite coral bracelet.
Note: when we say Diné, as opposed to Navaho or Navajo, we are referring to the people and not the government. Since 1969, their government refers to itself as the Navajo Nation.
Condition: excellent condition
Provenance: this Diné Sterling Silver Stamped Band with Row of Coral Cabochons is from the collection of a client from Oklahoma
