The Konin Katsina is also known as the Supai Katsina and is a Hopi Katsina in honor of the Havasupai Indians.  The Hopi have katsinas in honor of other friendly tribes.  The Koninmana is the female accomplice to the male Konin Katsina.  The male and female versions of this kastina appear in regular katsina dances during the katsina season.

This is a flat or cradle katsina doll.  These are given to the baby girls to play with.  This form doesn't have anything to get the little ones in trouble with as they often chew on them.  We've actually seen some them with teeth marks in the past.

Condition:  The carving is missing its right horn but that is the condition in which the owner purchased it on the reservation from a household at Shungopavi at Second Mesa.

Provenance: To be provided to purchaser
