Hopi Third Mesa Wicker Plaque with Spiral Design [SOLD]

This plaque, larger than most, represents a whirling design evoking the rotation of the earth or some other natural phenomenon.  The weaver perhaps reflected on nature when weaving this plaque.  The design is strong black and the background a mellow brown.  Red rows alternate around the rim.

Condition:  The plaque is in excellent condition with some minor rim damage and some separation of the rim in one area.
