This very long Kewa turquoise and coral necklace, measuring six feet in circumference, was designed to be looped into two strands, measuring three feet in circumference. It could also be looped into three strands, measuring one foot in circumference.

Each coral cab was sanded into rounded shape and beautifully polished. The turquoise heishi also was sanded into round heishi in differing thicknesses and diameters. Turquoise of dark green color was inserted between every two or three of the coral cabs. This is a lovely necklace, rich in color. It was obviously made by a Kewa (formerly Santo Domingo Pueblo) artisan with excellent lapidary and artistic talent.
