Silver Buckle with Coral, Turquoise, and Gold Inset [SOLD]

Victor Beck's road to becoming one of Arizona's Living Treasures began in Pinon, Arizona. He came from a family of artists; his grandfather was a silversmith, and his mother an accomplished weaver. He was studying ceramics at Northern Arizona University when he took a required metalsmithing class. That was when he knew he had found his calling.

Beck creates each jewelry piece with his distinctive modern lines using a variety of materials. This amazing buckle features Beck's unique deep grill work as a frame to precisely shaped inlaid pieces of coral and turquoise. A small gold piece sits between the turquoise and coral. Precision and clean lines define Beck's work, and this piece is no exception. The buckle is signed Victor Beck.

Following his time at NAU, he received a scholarship to the State University of New York at New Paltz where he continued his study of jewelry making and metalsmithing. He is the winner of numerous awards and has been featured in publications and exhibitions. Beck was given the honor to create a Rosary for Pope Paul IV. Currently, the Navajo Rosary is on exhibit at the Vatican.
