Simple hook and loop secures this necklace.

This exciting twentieth-century silver and turquoise choker consists of five pendants on a string of handmade silver beads.  Each pendant highlights a large natural turquoise gemstone mounted in a silver bezel and resting on a silver plate that has been sculpted with four semicircles protruding beyond the confines of the gemstone.  Each of these protrusions has been blackened for effect and outlined with a silver frame.  A twisted silver wire rope surrounds each bezel.

The five pendants are strung on a necklace of small and delicate handmade silver beads.  A silver clasp finishes off the ends.  The choker is not signed with the name of the artist.

Condition: very good condition

Provenance: this Silver and Turquoise Choker Style Diné Necklace is from the collection of a resident of Taos
