His work has been recognized with awards from prestigious institutions such as the Eight Northern Pueblo, the Navajo Market at the Museum of Northern Arizona, and the Heard Museum, among others. In addition to his artistic talents, Yazzie is also a polyglot, fluent in multiple languages including Laotian, Thai, and Khmer.
