Handcrafted by Watson Honanie, this sterling silver cuff with 14K gold overlay is executed with exceptional precision and depth. The composition presents 6 depictions of Kokopelli, the Flute Player, flanked on the left by a Sun Katsina and a Pueblo; to the right of the flute players are three mountain peaks. An etched, pickled background catches and directs the light, showcasing the brilliant sparkle of the gold design elements.
This cuff measures 6-⅛" inches in diameter and ½" inch wide. Finished for comfort, there is a gentle rounding at the edge and the interior is masterfully domed. The artist's hallmark bear paw is stamped underneath in the center.
Honanie's work is highly sought after; he is celebrated for intricate designs with his signature process of overlaying 14K gold onto a sterling silver substrate. In 1993, his gold concha belt won Best of Class and Best of Division at Indian Market, underscoring the caliber and collectibility of his artistry.
