Known for centuries for their fine lapidary work, Zuni Pueblo artists added silver settings to their creations in the early 20th Century. By the second half of the 20th Century, the distinctive style known as petit point or needlepoint was considered to be one of the traditional styles of Zuni jewelry.

These well made Zuni hoop earrings feature ten small turquoise stones set in sawtooth bezels and then placed in a shadowbox frame. The contrast between the dark oxidized background with the sky blue turquoise is striking. The earrings are not signed and date from the 1980s.

Condition: The Zuni Pueblo Petit Point Turquoise and Silver Hoop Earrings are in excellent condition.
