The fine inlay work of Zuni jewelry artist Theresa Waseta renders the question, "How does she do that?" She has taken tiny pieces of turquoise, jet, shell, and coral and created two charming little Zuni maidens. Just under one inch high, each little lady is perfectly shaped and almost seems to come alive as she dangles from a handmade link attached to a small round section of turquoise. Theresa Waseta's craftsmanship is astonishing.

Theresa Waseta was an active jeweler in the 1960s and was known for her Zuni maidens. She passed the motif to her daughter, Joyce, who continues to make the delicate, sweet designs today. These earrings are signed in script with the artist's name.

Condition: the earrings are in excellent condition.

Provenance: these Zuni Pueblo Inlay Maiden Earrings are from a collector in Colorado
