This pair of earrings, arranged in cluster style, was made by Phyllis Susan Coonsis of Zuni Pueblo. The turquoise outer rim consists of petit point style turquoise, surrounding a single round turquoise gemstone. The earrings are for pierced ears. Each earring is stamped with the name Phyllis.
Phyllis Susan Coonsis is a member of the Sun-Grain Clan at Zuni Pueblo. She was born in 1960, and began making jewelry at the young age of 17. She is the granddaughter of Myra Qualo; and the daughter of Juan Coonsis & Lorraine Nastacio. She has exhibited at Santa Fe Indian Market and other venues, and is represented in many personal collections.
