This pair of earrings was made by an unidentified silversmith and lapidary artist from Zuni Pueblo. They are very petite, measuring only an inch in length. A round section conceals the silver post and contains a traditional Zuni sun face image that was assembled from turquoise, coral, jet, and mother of pearl. Suspended from this post is a triangular pendant in pyramidal shape hosting a triangular mother of pearl gemstone and three small triangular coral alternating with three triangular jet gemstones.
