Cheyenne Jim (Diane Lynn), Taos pueblo, her work is easy to single out as these have a distinctive style. Feathers and leather straps are often incorporated into Cheyenne Jim's storytellers. Cheyenne Jim (Diane Lynn), is Diné - Navajo Nation. Diane was raised with a rich cultural tradition and was deeply impress by a Yei Be Chei ceremony she attended as a young girl, with her grandmother (Aasdzaan Doo'al hoshii), a Diné medicine woman. Diane Lynn is a self-taught artisan from observation, using mica clay on her storytellers. Cheyenne Jim was quoted as saying "a true artist has no tradition to follow, only the freedom to create and be innovative." Cheyenne Jim has won many awards for her artwork and is listed in the National Museum of the American Indian.
