Mathew E. Fragua (1963-2015) Jemez Pueblo started making polychrome Koshare clown Storytellers, figures on horseback around 1978. Mathew is the great-grandson of Persingula M. Gachupin; nephew of Marie Romero. Mathew learned pottery making from his great-grandmother.
