Artist Signature - Reycita Garcia (1931 - ) San Juan Pueblo PotterOhkay Owingeh artist Reycita Archuleta Garcia began making pottery in the early 1950s. The slip or paint that she uses on her figures is very typical of the colors used at San Juan Pueblo.

Reycita Garcia (b.1931) didn't make nacimientos until 1967. Her figures show detail in the clothing and faces and generally are of a larger size with up to six human figures and several animals. As is typical with Reycita's nacimientos, all the human figures have buff colored hair.
