Mary Suina Cochiti Pueblo, active ca. 1981-present: polychrome jars, bowls, Storytellers, Nativities (Nacimientos), scenes, and paintings. Mary signs her work Mary or Vangie Suina, AWS. She sometimes collaborates with Anthony W. Suina. Marie is also known as Mary Vangie Suina, Mary Evangeline Suina, Evangela Suina, and Mary E. Suina. Mary is the granddaughter of Anita Suina; daughter of Ernest and Louise Q. Suina; mother of Randi Simone Suina, Jalen Suina, and Melanie Suina. Mary's mother Louise taught her to make pottery. Mary has been exhibiting at Indian Market, Santa Fe since 1982 and has won several awards from there.
