Deanna Qualo

Zuni Pueblo artists are known for their exquisite lapidary work.  They use small pieces of stone like painters use paint to create lifelike images.  Zuni artist Deanna Qualo is no exception.  She precisely cuts and shapes pieces of turquoise, jet and mother of pearl and set the pieces into silver channels to create wonderful pieces of stunning jewelry.  Her stonework is extremely well done and collectible.  She signs her pieces “Qualo.”
