Juanita Suazo du Bray | Taos Pueblo | Southwest Indian Pottery | Figurines | Nacimiento | signature

Juanita du Bray grew up at Taos Pueblo and learned by watching her mother make pottery for use in cooking and serving.  She didn't start making pottery until 1980 when she began making traditional Taos pottery and employed early pueblo designs and shapes.  Juanita prefers to use corn and lizard designs and believes that her pottery reflects her experiences in life.  Her micaceous pieces are included in national and international collections.
