“The ceramic vessels in this catalog are organized in general ware categories discussed in geographical order, beginning in the north with the Tiwa pueblos of Taos and Picuris. Tewa plain wares and painted wares are presented next, followed by ceramics of the Keres pueblos of Cochiti and Santo Domingo. A miscellaneous section covers the few examples of Zia, Acoma, and Hopi ceramics in the collection, followed by a final section on Zuni. Each piece is identified by its current and old catalog numbers, the ceramic type name, the pueblo of origin, an estimated time span, a brief discussion of the vessel, and information on the collector and place of collection.”
