Introduction by Frank Waters

Generally regarded as one of the oldest continuously inhabited villages in North America, Acoma Pueblo sits atop a 400-foot mesa about an hour west of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

This out-of-print book includes a history of the Pueblo. It contains lovely color photographs of landscapes, architecture, arts and the people. Quotes from early Spanish explorers, historians and anthropologists accompany the photos. It is a beautiful book that celebrates the unique history and art of Acoma Pueblo.
