Lee M. Cohen combined twenty years of experience in southwestern artwork with the unabashed enthusiasm of a rabid fan.  A long-time collector, he also owned Gallery 10 in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Santa Fe, New Mexico, and as such he helped raise public awareness of the power and beauty of this American art.  He promoted many new artists and was involved with all the living artists celebrated in Art of Clay.  Cohen served as Chairman of the Scottsdale Cultural Council.  His wife Adele and son Philip assisted in the creation of Art of Clay and were contributing authors.
