GROSS, KELLY & CO., Near Depot, Santa Fe [SOLD]
GROSS, KELLY & CO., Near Depot, Santa Fe, New Mexico 1928
Published in Bulletin of the Historic Santa Fe Foundation
The Gross, Kelly & Company historic building near the train depot in Santa Fe is the cover story in this publication. The Gross, Kelly and Company Warehouse was one of the earliest buildings to reflect the trend in Santa Fe to build or remodel buildings in the new Old Santa Fe style. The Gross, Kelly & Company building was planned to be near the railroad tracks and therefore would be one of the first buildings seen by visitors. With that in mind, the design of the building was turned over to Rapp and Rapp architectural company in Trinidad, Colorado. Rapp & Rapp had already designed a warehouse in the Pueblo Revival style, so it was the logical choice.
