It was in Taos, in 1924 to 1937, after having studied both in this country and in Europe, that Kenneth Adams developed and matured his style.  During that period the adobe villages of the alley, Pueblo Indian, and Spanish colonials still retained much of their special character. Life was simple and down to earth.  Adams painted a variety of subjects from that environment.
