Hopi Pueblo artist Alph Secakuku was a carver of katsina dolls, stone sculptor, painter.  He also lectured about Hopi Pueblo tradition and culture.

Alph Secakuku spent the first twenty years of his life learning the traditions and cultural teachings of the Hopi. He worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs for twenty-four years, retiring in 1994.

Alph H. Secakuku (1939-2022) was born in the Hopi village of Supawlavi on Second Mesa, in Arizona, to the Snake Clan. His mother is a descendant of the Snake Clan people from the village of Paaqavi on the Third Mesa.
