Buffy Cordero Southwest Indian Pottery Figurines Cochiti Pueblo signature

Buffy Cordero Suina of Cochiti Pueblo, New Mexico learned to make pottery from her famous grandmother, Helen Cordero, and her father George Cordero. Her work is highly collectible because of its quality, limited availability, and direct connection to the original creator of Storyteller figurines.

Buffy (1969-) was strongly influenced her family's style and techniques. Buffy was a good student who became an excellent potter in her own right, creating excellent Storyteller and Story hour figurines in the style of her widely influential grandmother. Buffy stopped making pottery after Helen passed away in 1994.
