Acoma Pueblo artist Carmel Lewis is deeply committed to traditional methods of making and firing pottery, and specializes in the revival of Mimbres, Anasazi and Tularosa designs. She is a very accomplished potter.
Carmel Lewis (b. 1947) is the youngest daughter of Lucy Lewis and was taught the art of pottery making by her mother. Some collectors know her by her married name, Carmel Lewis Haskaya.
