Acoma Pueblo artist Carrie Chino Charlie made her home on the Pueblo and her life-long pleasure was caring for her family and making exquisite pottery.  Carrie started making pottery in the 1940s and is best known for her traditional and contemporary polychrome, black-on-white fineline, whiteware jars and bowls.

Carrie Chino Charlie was born on Dec. 19, 1925, to her parents Lorenzo and Marie Z. Chino from the Acoma Pueblo. Carrie's sisters were, Grace Chino , Vera Chino Ely and Rose Chino Garcia

Carrie Charley, 86, passed away on Feb. 6, 2012.
