Hopi Pueblo artist Camille Quotskuyva Hisi Nampeyo is very collectible based on her high skill at making pottery and famous family lineage.

Camille Quotskuyva Hisi Nampeyo, Hopi Pueblo. In the early 1970s I set about to collect one pottery piece from each of the extensive Nampeyo family of potters. About a decade later, I had completed the collection. I recall that Hisi made a small bowl and saved it for me until my next trip to Polacca. I believe she was a teenager at the time. Now, she has matured to a major potter and has gained national attention and many awards and has had many exhibitions of her work at major art galleries.

Hisi is her Hopi name given to her when she was a baby during the traditional Hopi naming ceremony when she was born in 1964. Most collectors know her as Hisi rather than as Camille. Her mother is Dextra Quotskuyva Nampeyo, her grandmother was Rachel Namingha Nampeyo and her Great-grandmother was Annie Healing Nampeyo, her brother is Dan Namingha. This is a phenomenal family of artists.
