Award winning Hopi Pueblo artist Emory Pohuma was active katsina carver until about 1953. He was known for his Katsina Doll carvings.

Emory Pohuma (?-1991) lived in Sichomovi on Frist Mesa, Hopi Pueblo, Arizona. Emory won 3 awards in 1953 and one in 1954 from the Hopi Show, Museum of Northern Arizona, Flagstaff.
