San Ildefonso Pueblo artist Joe Tafoya is a silversmith. It has been seen that he inscribes "Joe Tafoya San Ildefonso" in cursive and "Sterling" in stamped form. The highlight of this bracelet is the very large beautiful blue turquoise gemstone with a light color copper matrix. The gemstone is freeform, and the jeweler used it to its best advantage by having it stand alone with the minimum of silver exposure. The silver bezel, silver wire, and silver balls enhance the turquoise.

The bracelet is inscribed Joe Tafoya San Ildefonso in cursive and his initials JT along with the word Sterling in stamped form. We have not found any information on the artist.
