The best I can translate the title of this painting, using my High School Spanish, is “She goes out to the street and sells her flowers.” I’m sure some of you out there can do better. Let me know.
The painting appears to be acrylic on matboard with touch-up crayon highlights. The artist signed his name in the lower left.
On verso is written by hand:
Va Por la Calle y Venda sus Flores
aacapoaxta – Puebla

tecnica mixto
crayon y ocrilico politeo

The painting is beautifully executed. Each Calle lily is highlighted individually. The Señora is well drawn and her clothing is meticulously illustrated. Small flowers are painted throughout her pink dress, and her blue apron is painted in fine squares. The shoulder shawl is drawn so each fold is visible.
The painting is floated on the matboard so the full image is visible. It is still in its original frame. Both painting and frame are in excellent condition.
