This pair of Native American themed bookends is of heavy cast iron with copper overlay and a polychrome finish.   The initials Z-R stamped on the back identify the manufacturer as Z-R Indian Village (location unknown).  They were made in 1928.  It seems there was an artist named F. West who made similar bookends for this manufacturer, but these are not marked with these initials.

Each is in exceptionally good vintage condition with original polychrome pigment. This iconic imagery of the Native American Indian with a single feather is copper overlay, and the background is polychrome.

Bookends shown with Rio Grande Blankets book.
