Gary Weisman: A Modern Master of the Classical Figure

Gary Weisman, an acclaimed artist, focuses his work on the classical human figure, drawing profound inspiration from the historical significance of figurative sculpture. His bronze sculpture, titled "Primary Tangent," is a stunning example of his artistry. Stamped #1 in a limited edition of 12, this piece measures 20" x 12" x 8-½" and was cast in 2005.

Born in Chicago in 1952, Weisman honed his skills in sculpture and drawing at The Art Institute of Chicago and at Washington University. His sculptures are known for their graceful design and clear influence from Greek sculpture and the Italian Renaissance. Each piece is breathtaking, sensual, and strong. Weisman is deeply involved in every step of the creative process, from making the initial clay form to applying the final patina.

Gary Weisman currently lives and works in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and his sculptures are exhibited at galleries around the world.
